New pool update

A quick update on the new pool for those that may be considering buying one.

I put the algaecide and chlorine in last night. Using the lowest chlorine dosage recommended; 1 part per million; the range is supposed to be 1-3ppm. I did a simple paper test using the paper strips in the kit and got the all clear!

I didn’t actually wait around until today to have a play in the pool, I was in there last night :)

We pulled Abi’s trampoline to the edge of the pool and I used it as my 1st dip into the pool!! Whoo hoooo. It was cold but me and Abi had a whale of a time ;) Pun intended, but I’m not fat at all honest. Using the trampoline as a spring board is so much fun.

Anyway I thought I’d check the temperature of the water this afternoon and was astounded to find out that in 60cm of water and the bubble wrap solar protector on the surface of the pool, the temperature ranged from 23°C to 16°C at the bottom! 7°C difference in only 60cm. I’m going to monitor the temperature daily to see if the temperature at the bottom gets higher.
